September 5

Math

Students will be reviewing their facts to and from 10. We will continue to play Shut the Box and we will learn some new math games.  Some games will be sent home in the students’ Eagle folders for you to enjoy at home.

Writing

Students began talking about their hopes and dreams for the school year and how we can all work together as a community to accomplish our goals.

Reading

This week, we will continue working on our class goal on Reading Engagement. Students will be working on building their stamina, keeping their eyes in the text, and picking just right books.

Students played Shut the Box and worked in groups to share what the SOAR rules mean to them!

 

 

August 29

This week students will be introduced to their writing binders and goal setting.  Students will explore the room to find their best writing spots.

Students will enjoy listening to read a-louds this week. They will be introduced to their reading folders, book bins, and search for the perfect reading nook.

Students will build their number sense through Dot Card activities. Students will learn to play Shut the Box to practice facts to and from 10.
