*We will continue to use the student’s collections through this week.  They are very excited about their opinion writing!

*I hope you all enjoyed your February Vacation!

*Our next writing unit will focus on opinion writing.  Please have your child bring in a small collection to use during our unit.  Examples: small toy collection, post card collection, pokemon cards, etc.

*We will be studying George Washington and Abraham Lincoln this week in school as we discuss President’s Day.

*This week is SPIRIT WEEK! Monday – Hat Day, Tuesday – Sports Day, Wednesday – Clash Day, Thursday – Crazy Hair Day

*There is no school on Friday February 12.

*Our writing celebration is February 10^th from 2-2:30 pm..  Our Valentine’s Day Celebration is February 11^th in class.

* We have begun working with Mrs. LG during computer time.  She is helping us learn to code! We had our first lesson this week and discussed the word algorithm and how to give directions.
