*Friday is our First Grade Fall Festival! We have been studying seasons and leaf cycles and are looking forward to celebrating all things Fall!

*We finished our first Unit in Writing Workshops J.  I can’t wait to see the students’ writing grow even more during our next unit, Small Moments.  

October 19

*Parent teacher conferences are October 21 and October 27, please check your time online.  I can’t wait to share with you all how your students are progressing!

*We are continuing to discuss nocturnal animals in class.  We have been comparing non-fiction and fiction stories about owls and bats.

*We have been discussing the commutative property in math (4+2=6, 2+4=6).  We are also learning our facts that make 10.  

October 12

*We will be studying Nocturnal Animals and Pumpkins this month.   



*Please remember to read every night.  Students may read to you, be read to, or read together.  Any book or text of the student’s choice is fine.  Please record your reading on your reading log. YOU CAN DO IT! J

*There is no school on Friday October 9th and Monday October 12th.
