Friday's Class Party

We are counting down the days until our pajama party!  If you are planning on sending in any items could you please email me or jot me a quick note so I know which supplies are covered and what is still needed. Thank you to everyone for your contributions.

Last week we studied snowflakes and Snowflake Bentley.  Be sure to ask your student about the man who photographed snowflakes!

  •  little waters or juice boxes
  • holiday plates/napkins
  • plastic knives
  • sugar cookies in a holiday shape (plain)
  • frosting (red, green, white)
  • sprinkles (holiday themed)

December 12

This week students will continue to work on their all about books.  They are squeezing their brains to write more and more details, write for an audience, and hook their readers right from the start.

We will be reading Snowflake Bentley in class this week.  Students will work on retelling the information they learned and present it through an in class project.

In math, we will re-visit addition and subtraction facts that use ten and facts that use doubles.  We will continue to make line plots and be detectives with place value.
