Today students planted marigold seeds. They were excited to see the shape of the seed and get their hands dirty!

*The character parade was a huge success! The students’ costumes were great and they all did a wonderful job playing the part of their character.
*We have our class field trip to Old York this
Thursday, May 19.
*Students have begun developing their own
characters in writing. Over the next few weeks they will be creating
chapter books with their characters!
*In Art last week Ms. Donovan took advantage of the great weather and used chalk
pastel out in the courtyard to re-create works of some of the master painters
we have been studying. The students worked in teams, and focused on
communicating and cooperating with each other.
May 2
*Students will be
studying a book character this week in class.
We will be discussing character traits and reading more and more about
our characters.
*On Friday May 13, at
10:30 a.m., we will be having a character parade in front of the school. More
information will be sent home soon!
